UN/SEEN: FIRST EDITION

The inaugural UN/SEEN exhibition introduced JONA's curatorial approach: art as a space for encounter and dialogue.

CONCEPT & VISION

«Change makes differences, differences become dialogue and dialogue becomes connection»

From 12 to 14 June 2026, more than 20 international and local artists working in painting, dance, photography, film, fashion and music jointly created a walk-through labyrinth at K-Haus Basel that moved visitors both aesthetically and emotionally. The project was conceived as a safe space and a place of collective reflection, opening up room to break down boundaries between art, society and personal experience.

Many of these themes often remained unspoken or suppressed in everyday discussion. UN/SEEN built a bridge that fostered empathy, understanding and dialogue and set lasting social impulses in motion.

EXHIBITION FILM

NETWORK

It was no longer enough for us to remain spectators. We took action and created a space where art could be experienced by everyone — for the creators just as much as for the visitors.

IDENTITY

We didn't want people to leave only with memories of paintings on white walls, but with a feeling, a thought, perhaps even a question they asked themselves.

EQUALITY

Who was I in a world full of standardised expectations? People knew the path to being visible — and still remained UN/SEEN.
